VACANCY FOR SHELL MONITORING ROLE IN OUR GUILDFORD OFFICE

Our Shell monitoring role is expanding for 2017-2018 and we now require a Technologist or Architect with a good understanding of construction to fill the Shell Monitoring position.

The role involves visiting sites, either independently or with client representatives, and understanding the construction process with a view to delivering to our client buildings which meet the AFL (Agreement for Lease) legal requirements, which are previously agreed with the developer and their team.

Requirements are for accurate and prompt reporting on progress or issues arising in the delivery phase. Our team agree requirements with the developers and once ratified into a contract we monitor the developers team and contractor to ensure this is achieved. This involves working with the developers team throughout the detail design tender and construction detailing as it develops and ensuring any changes do not impact on our clients’ needs for the space. Some key requirements are listed below. This is not exhaustive.

  • Full clean drivers licence (there is a requirement to visit sites regularly)
  • Ability to engage with developers and contractors, reviewing site against shell specifications and programme.
  • Ability to liaise directly with our client.
  • Undertake written site visit reports promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage several projects at once (Typically between 7-14 sites all at various stages of delivery)
  • Gather information and maintain programmes accurately.
